“No Knead” Pizza Dough Recipe – a great recipe to have in your repertoire to make an impressive gourmet pizza!
“No Knead” Pizza Dough
This is a great recipe which requires no kneading just mix up in one bowl and leave to rise. After the initial rise , this dough can be left overnight.The key ingredient is the "OO" flour – it really makes it taste like a gourmet pizza and make sure the water is lukewarm not hot or it will kill the yeast
Ingredients
- 1 kg "OO" pizza flour
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 4 Tbsp olive oil
- 3 cups lukewarm water
- 1 pkg yeast or 8 grams
Instructions
- Basically mix all the dry ingredients in a glass bowl then add warm water.
- Mix by hand or with a Dutch dough whisk- no kneading, just mix to combine all ingredients
- Cover with cling film and set aside to rise for 1-2 hours. Make pizza crust immediately or keep in bowl put in fridge overnight. Or anything in between- this will make about four 12 inch pizzas
